Hot Club Du Chicago String Quartet is the perfect augmentation to your corporate or ceremonial event. Streaming ballads and classic waltzes for the reception, cocktail and dinner hour. Jazz standards and swing tunes to carry throughout the event. We are a traditional manouche quartet that plays acoustically, amplification is available for larger venues. Lead instruments
are guitar and violin, accompanied by rhythm guitar and upright double
bass. Hot Club Du Chicago is available as a Trio, Quartet or Quintet.
Hot Club Du Chicago immortalizes the music of the incomparable D'jango Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli. Lead by veteran guitarist LeRoy Burton, who has over 30 years of experience playing jazz manouche guitar, along with Daniela Bisenius, concert violinist from Bucharest, Romania we are Chicagoland's premier gypsy jazz band.
This style of music originated mainly in France and is commonly known as Jazz manouche. As popularized in Paris, we bring the musette ensemble style to classic waltzes, ballads and the legendary swing tunes of the era.
